Keen to see/hear what people are doing to mount/hang their bikes on the wall.

Currently, I'm just using the standard front wheel hook style hangar, but I would like to have mine on the wall horizontally and hoping for some ideas?

I thought about simply fixing a couple of blocks to the wall for the wheels to sit on, then some sort of strap to run around the frame to stop it falling off. So wheels and tyres tight up against the wall, leaning slightly off and fixed with a strap around the frame. I reckon it would look cool BUT be a pain to put up there and easily fall off if/when thy get knocked.

Like the look of the cycloc stuff but figured its a bit too expensive tbh.

Any suggestions?

Mount a bike rack to your wall.

I use this Ibera wall mount that works well, Amazon link below. Has adjustable arms to match your frame geometry and has held my 38lb bike no problem.

I did fasten the mount to a 2X4 which bolts to 2 wall studs, as described by several of the reviews.

Use your bike hook around your brake perch (at the handlebar) and the tires on blocks, as you described.
