Hello, Anyone running a single speed setup on a full power e-bike? Specially the Turbo Levo G3? Just got a sweet deal on a frame set and will try E-mtb for the first time. I would like to build it not too heavy and keep maintenance low in the coming winter., so these are the main reasons for me. I run a single speed setup in another bike (nukeproof giga 297). I can access my local trail with it using the fire road. There is also a possibility to ride uphill in the woods (a bit of tech) and it would be great to ride it with the e-bike.
I will try it anyway, nevertheless it would be great to hear someone’s experience or thoughts. Thanks Cristiano

I think its a great idea , hardass singlespeed chain , steel cog on the rear and steel chainring up front
Less complication and far less maintence as well as the low cost.
One issue might be having a gear that pedals comfortably when on flats but still has a large enough ratio to stomp and pickup speed for features on the trail when needed
Ya sorry I have no info to help you, but subscribing to hear how it goes. Seems like a pretty cool idea, as long as you're at peace with the loss of top end speed I think a single speed Levo would be some good fun.
Sounds like a great way to strip the inter drive belt. Lugging an e bike drive is a great way to kill the Brose drive system. Spin, spin, spin…. That’s the rule.
I'm pretty sure you will blow up your motor. Ebike motors still want you to spin the cranks fast, if your trying to torque up a big hill in a high gear you are putting a bunch of stress into the motor. Singlespeed all your bikes except the Ebike!
