Review: The New Transition Spur is Lightly Revised and Still Just as Fun
Got a good deal on the old Frameset and built it just like this. 130 mm fork, 165mm cranks…the whole bike weights only 11,5 kg with pedals and i am loving it. I am really glad that it is still up to date

@TEAM-ROBOT: I am running X01 shifters paired with 90 rear mech for 5 months now. Was it not supposed to work 🙈?

SRAM Announces Cable-Actuated to Wireless Transmission Upgrade Kit
@xetal: yeah that is a very generic explanation. I took a try at my own risk in one bike. It worked so well that I did the same in the second one. That is all I can say. That will probably void warranty too…at the end of the day companies (at least the big ones) want you to throw away the old and buy their newest stuff…

SRAM Announces Cable-Actuated to Wireless Transmission Upgrade Kit
@CornPop: you can combine the Eagle 90 derailleur with the old Eagle (non t-type) shifter and xx or x0 t type Cassette/chain/chainring to get the best of both worlds. I am running this setup after loosing 2 batteries and I am not coming back to electronic any soon

SRAM Patent Shows Mechanical Transmission Derailleur With Smart Setup Feature
@khakifantastic: yes, the t-Type cassette will mount 3 mm further to the outer side. It wouldn’t allow you to tighten the axle without locking the rear wheel, at least with the UDH hanger. The inner side of the UDH Hanger has some excess material to “create” this incompatibility. The good thing is that this area is made of plastic and can easily be removed with a file. You will eventually need a small spacer between Hanger and Derailleur. The spacer would be needed to align the first cog with the derailleur
