Amflow's €3,499 TL Carbon Could Be the E-Bike the Industry Didn't Know It Needed
@Cerps: Can you explain why you need a mid-drive system for commuting? My point was that (in my opinion) the majority of commute/urban users are much better off saving money and going with a hub drive bike like Aventon or Rad. Zero downside for typical urban riding. In fact, much better serviceability/futureproofing and less wear and tear on your drivetrain.

I find it easy enough to not like... for a solid $2k less can buy a great commuter ebike and put that savings towards something that's actually fun to ride on trails. I'm a huge ebike fan/supporter, but this kind of bike encourages the worst kind of ebiking that is jeopardizing all of our access.... beaters with no skills blasting around out of control on singletrack yelling at hikers to get out of the way.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Buy A 32" Wheel Bike?
Fully disagree with the idea that it's just inevitable that they will grow in presence/popularity. That is very much an attitude derived from the tech industry, where new things are consistently forced upon us and the opinion of the masses has little to do with it. The difference is that those tech companies produce billions (now trillions?) of dollars of "value" so they have lots of leverage to force things through. The bike industry, however, has pretty much no leverage and is in a constant state of about-to-file-bankruptcy.... so bike brands can't really force anything that doesn't sell relatively organically. Hard to say if 32 will flop, but it's very possible. I don't know a single person who has any interest in it.

Canfield Lithium V3 Review: Long Travel Without the Lethargy
Wait so you ride with a pack carrying ~100oz of water, tons of tools, spare parts, sandwiches, diet cokes, etc.... and you are (aggressively) accusing the minimalist riders who hit the trail with ~25oz of water, a mini tool, and some pocket raisins of being wimps? You are confused.

@bushtrucker: Did you just use "wheelie machine" as a negative connotation? Sad.

Specialized Is Trying to Make E-Bike Overlanding a Thing
I mean, companies are going to need to make up all kinds of nonsense to try to keep feeding the capitalism machine because mountain bikes peaked in 2022. I feel bad for them honestly. And none of the marketing garbage bothers me because I know for the rest of my life I can just keep buying used bikes from 2022.

Canfield Lithium V3 Review: Long Travel Without the Lethargy
After decades of writers trying to find original ways to say that a bike climbs well, but also descend well, "long travel without the lethargy" is a job well done.
