Ft William DH - Getting there from Inverness

Hi all,
My wife and I are travelling from Canada and trying to make it to the finals of the Ft William DH on May 05, 2024. Since the accommodations in the area are all booked up, we're planning to stay in Inverness and then try bus our way down the day of the race. The 9AM bus is already full and the 11AM bus gets to Ft William at 130pm, which looks to be too late to catch the finals. Are there other services we can use to get to the race on time or are we out of luck?

Good luck with public transport, I'd just get a hire car as getting around will be a pain otherwise. The event is nearly 7 miles out of the town anyway. Where are you flying in to?

Thanks, we'll be coming in through Aberdeen a week or so before the race. Then bumbling about the country for a bit. Should be fun.

Oh something to remember. (Not sure if it's changed but) In 2013 when I went you couldn't park at the event... You HAD to park in town an get a bus to the event, there was a camp site with in walking distance an even they had to get busses into town, an then busses back to the event!!

Luckily I had friends racing the 4X so got Thier event pass cos I was Thier 'mechanic ' that was awesome! I got a wrist band to blah ALL the ques!! Big Grin oh yeah don't forget the smidge or Avon so soft!!! Ginger beer or tea works well too (drink it obvs)
