2024 norco sight: adjustment period? Or bad set up?

I recently picked up a 2024 Norco sight, it's my first high pivot bike.

Based on reviews and geo, I wasn't expecting it to feel that different from my other bikes, but it has been extremely hard to get a feel for it.

I would say the vivid shock is set up appropriately (though would benefit from some volume spacers that I have on order), but the lyrik (charger 3) has been challenging. It isn't as composed (read: it's chattery/uncomfortable) as I would like for smashier tracks. I'm basically running the damper full open, high speed one click from open, and low speed 3 clicks from open with 7 clicks of rebound from open, which is maybe a touch slow, but it isn't packing and going faster exacerbates the rodeo quality it has. On flow, it doesn't offer as linear a feel as I'm used to, making it feel like it's popping unpredictably on jumps and leaving me with zero confidence to huck.

Its entirely possible that suspension balance is part of the issue, but I have been having a brutal time getting accustomed to how the bike handles. There will be moments where it feels amazing, but honestly, I can't figure out my body position to make corners work the way I want them to, my teeth are getting rattled out when I'm charging, and I feel like I don't know how to jump. The only thing I really like it for at the moment, is climbing.

Does anyone have an experience adjusting to a high pivot, or any advice on set up specific to the Norco Sight that might help a guy out?

For context, I did start with the ride aligned recommended settings and started tooling from there. I did shorten the stem and raise the bar, adding 5mm more spacer and shortening the stem to 35mm just for fit and perceived handling benefit, but obviously I'm not stoked on the handling, so ultimately it's feeling like those changes were made more for comfort than for any other reason at the moment, but I am, more or less, happy with fit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if you are still looking for setup help, but I also just got a sight so I'll share some things I found.

I'm on a size 3, 5'9" 175ish riding weight.

I found the Norco settings way too soft, the rear was riding in the portion of the travel where the spring rate ramps up and was making it feel harsh. I went up 10 psi and it was much better all around.

I have had some issues getting used to the cornering as well, but the bike is 15ish mm longer wheelbase than my old bike and conditions have been quite dry. No issues jumping and it feels like a magic carpet through chunk. Which is causing some of the cornering issues as I'm entering them much faster than I'm used to.

I'm running a 38 so can't offer direct help on the fork. But when I ran a lyrik in the past (charger 2.1) I found I needed to run a lot of volume spacers and lsc to get the small bump/support I wanted without blowing through the travel
