First Ride: Santa Cruz Updates the Blur - More Travel, More Weight, More Fun?
Might ride great but outside of reach numbers, on laper anyway, that geo is pretty far off the mark for me.

Ugly or Amazing? Vote on Mountain Biking's Most Polarizing Products

I didn't vote on the stab dee-lux, I voted on Dario.

Pinkbike's Tech Editors Pick Their Ideal MTB Geometry Numbers (2026 Edition)
@surfco: I'm definitely still considering the canyon, I have zero issues with the brand, It could just be lighter without in frame storage, though 27lbs is what my current trail bike weighs and it's totally fine, and it could be optimized around a 130 fork. I realize I'm probably an outlier in these desires, but the heart wants what it wants. For the Revel ranger, the weight isn't my issue, it's the suspension platform and value. They're a bit soft for my tastes, I want something that gets after it a bit more and a bit more than I'd care to spend.

Pinkbike's Tech Editors Pick Their Ideal MTB Geometry Numbers (2026 Edition)
Shockingly, the guys who are the same height as me have the geo I most agree with. Kazimer's XC bike is exactly where my head is at. It honestly seems like the new lux trail has the closest geo outside the tempo, which, quite frankly, is too heavy for a bike I intend to race on occasion. Anyone have anything else in mind that's similar?

First Ride: Canyon Lux Trail - Light, Slack, and Ready For Long Rides
@slayersxc17: In fairness the criticism has merit. I find the 34 at 130mm to be largely fine, but I do find it too flexy and a bit scary at 140mm... at least on the last gen forks, I haven't ridden the new stuff yet.

First Ride: Canyon Lux Trail - Light, Slack, and Ready For Long Rides
@justanotherusername: I'd be getting the CF 7 and swapping the lighter parts off my current trail/xc bike, then just sell my old trail bike with a mishmash of new and old parts.

First Ride: Canyon Lux Trail - Light, Slack, and Ready For Long Rides
@mikekazimer: Do you think there is anything out there with a better feeling suspension platform for someone who moonlights as an xc rider but doesnt always want to take the big bike out on those weekend mountain trips? For context I've been on an izzo for the last 3 seasons.

First Ride: Canyon Lux Trail - Light, Slack, and Ready For Long Rides
@slayersxc17: Look at footage from the BCBR or any event like that. Hundreds of riders on the last day of the race they were riding a double black on 34s. I did the Fernie ST3 and smashed down some steep steppy black bike park stuff on the 3rd day with a 34. I think the key is not to think about it. Just ride the bike, It'll look after you.
