i wanna jb weld my seatpost into my seat tube after i cut it down,

just wondering, should i sand the post and inside of seat tube to bare metal b4 i put the jb weld in??

Not having a seat is the new trend. slamming is so yesterday! i mean whos gonna sit down with that slammed seat? might aswell have no seat/post and save some weight!

always sand to bare when welding then do the weld tack it first then run a bead around it the grind that down sand it till its flush and looks like its part of the bike then paint and ride

JB Weld is just strong glue.

It's not literally glue, it kind of melts the metal together. It's strong enough, it's just stupid to do something permanent on your bike when a seat post clamp would suffice.

How can you know tig and mig welding but have never heard of JB Weld?


I see no reason at all to do this, pointless endeavor. You are just going to screw it up and destroy your frame... and for what?

haha yep.

is your seat really in the way where it is?
not too mention doing this will void your warranty
