King hubs. all the way. definitely the loudest with a pitch that will make anyone know you're coming. but if you're depending on a hub to let people know you're coming, if you're going fast and pedaling, then you won't hear the hub at all, if you're coasting, you're not going fast enough... and they're completely re-buildable. as for rims. are you looking for lightweight. go mavic like someone suggested before.. 823 or 729 then you've got yourself a nice $500 rear wheel or so.

King hubs aren't very loud at all.

I have 2 right now, and have ridden with many people that have had them, none even came half way to how loud my Ringle Abbah is, or a Hope Pro II.

hope pro II are very loud (im riding one) and the i9's are pretty high pitched sounding

ok the reasen i need a really strong hub and not some cheap shit one is because i have a tendency to explode hubs, bearings get broken, the axle breaks and scrapes against the inner hub part, the ratcheting strips. that happend to my last hub all at once and just destroyed the rim (never go off the big rock drop on dirt merchant with high pressure in the shock). and also how much are abbahs and hope pro 2???

mag 30 is the exact same as a doubletrack just different colours and stickers

no the double track and mag 30 are not the same... its like the s-type to mtx the double track is pinned the mag is welded seam.

823's are a softer compound than a 729, so the 823 is much more dent prone 729 is much stronger.

Hope Pro 2, ringle Abbah, or the Dt 440 hubs are all pretty loud. They can be made louder as well by pulling them apart, wiping out all the grease, and using tri-flow to lube. Mag 30 prlly the strongest rim in existence... though the Atom Lab pimps are pretty bad ass

you want strong rims, go with 24" steel hoops. Ugly and heavy, but you said strong, right?
