masterpiece, not sure what your issue is with that.

Thomson Masterpiece = lighter than an Elite and just as strong. I run them on my rides.

Some folks (trolls) are retards who offer nothing of value to the human race and are to be ignored.
i agree with u. Vouilloz rides with a masterpiece. and in my eyes they are the best posts on the market. if u look into there website it is the 2nd strongest post on the market, only behind the elite. teamed up with a ti fly seat, it only loses a couple of grames over the ibeam setup. and the ibeams hav half the strengh when it comes to withstanding a crash.

There have been some issues with the 951, for instance heavier riders can't get springs heavy enough. That's why CRC Intense team went back to their m6 bikes.
Wait until they have solved that problem, I think it was the lower linkage.
just sent an email to cane creeks to make sure i have the correct spring rate. and also mentioned romours about riders 'blowing through there travel'. will be interesting to see what they say. luckily im pretty light weighing in at 76.5kg / 168.6 US pound / 12.04 stone with riding gear. hopefully a heavier spring would sort out any issues.

Why not have a go at the Intense Socom?
i like the socoms, i dont think it will be long befor they are revamped tho. the 951 was going to be the new socom, but turnt into a more focused dh bike. i had a vp free befor i started to race. loved it to bits, very similar to the socom. im hoping there will be similarities to the 951. just lower and slacker, ideal for racing.

that's pretty funny. i don't think a retail setup gets much better than that thing. the weight is amazing even though nothing was skimped out on. 36'ish?

yes! i love mine. it's meant for a 135 rear end, so you can get it even lighter. i've never felt a better bike. except maybe a 303RDH. that bike was sex!

when you say "meant for 135", do you mean you have the option of either 135 or 150?

Posted: Aug 9, 2009 at 20:12 Quote
you have the option, but a 73mm BB is meant for 135 rear spacing. and 83 is for 150. it just makes for a straighter chain line, and better shifting.
