And if not, do you figure you could fly a real plane? The controls must be pretty similar. I mean just a little one ...

Re read that. Jesus, that's a dumb question. I'm going to leave it regardless.

I do not have a full size pilot's license. I did pass the written exam many, many (30+) years ago and I logged a few hours of instruction time in a Cessna 150 and C172, but couldn't afford to complete it at that time.

As far as the controls being similar to full scale? Yes, controls are similar (same but different? :lolSmile and control the same surfaces, but when I was learning to fly RC, I found it more difficult than flying the full size, due to lack of tactile (butt dyno effect) feel and awareness.

PAC - this is awesome man...! That 5-cyl racial is a beast of a motor. Love that idle... Geek

and that was some sweet stick work in that video ! helluva landing broseph...!!!

I did the same thing man. Went through ground school when I was in High School and passed my written also. Couldn't afford instruction time either. Too much money going into riding and sailing....but my dad was a pilot. I logged tons of bootleg time in high-wing Cessnas , low-wing Arrows and Archers, Beech singles and twins, even a King Air C90....but never solo'd. Frown

Cool. That sounds awesome. I’ll be watching vids on YT the rest of the day.

Here's a good one to start with. This is a much more competent pilot than me, flying one of my planes a few years ago in Wenatchee. Plane has a 106" wingspan and a 120cc two-stroke twin engine. enjoy!

this is bloody cool.

That was nuts. The hovering thing and the final approach/landing were unbelievable.

Yeah, Gabby is a phenominal pilot, and overall great kid. Just like I can only aspire to send 30 foot gaps, I am always at awe with his skills!

I know nothing about planes or flying them but I’m pretty sure planes aren’t supposed to fly like that! So cool. Doesn’t look real.

That landing was wild.

What's the power to weight ratio on that thing?
