I don't have a flash DSLR camera with multiple flashes and 7.5 frame per second shooting so I do my best with what I got. Took a few photos of my back yard the other day just after it rained. Could you give me a few tips and advcie on what I did well and could do better?

Boring.
You don't need a flash DSLR camera with multiple flashes and 7.5 frame per second shooting to find an interesting subject and learn about composition.

Amen to that. Practice finding a clear subject and really making the photo about that subject.

Well that was kinda my first try sooo....Thanks for the advice?
Try getting a book like "The Everything Photography Book" or a similar guide to the basic skills from your library. It really helped me out when I was first learning.
