Riding both BMX and MTB bikes is a lot more different than it may seem, I can do a huge amount of tricks on my BMX that are really hard for me to do on my big bike. Either way I'm just glad I have the opportunity to ride both because I love riding bikes and its all fun to me!
Watch out for the hultergeist. Josh hult is the man. Also his First mtb comp....I've never seen him ride a mtb.....not a bad showing in 3rd w the double whip. Sam pilgrim is an alien.
Once again Dylan has produced a super tight edit that captures the event perfectly.
I had the pleasure of hanging out with Dylan and the riders at Teva Games.
Its esits like these that make it possible for riders to get more sponsors and make it their career.
Well done Dylan mate. I hope you get picked up by a big time film crew and continue to bring this sport to living rooms around the world.
Peas.
Don't think so, the Best Trick section was included in the video. The winner for best trick didn't pull off such a great trick, so I wouldn't be dissapointed is there's no best trick video coming out :/
I really don't see why it is called a "slopestyle" event. The jumps aren't any bigger or built on any more of an incline than a dirt jumping contest (Bmx), and the best tricks pulled here are still sub par (in terms of DIFFICULTY, AMPLITUDE and STYLE) to any national level BMX dirt contest. Makes me wonder why more pro bmx'ers don't just ride mountain bikes on the weekends and take all of the prize money...And what the hell is up with the crappy dubstep music used in so many of these 'freeride' genre edits?
There are many differences between a BMX bike and a DJ bike (26 inch), like geometry, weight, frame size, etc. So if u ride a BMX bike it'll be easier for u to perform technical tricks as the bike is lighter and smaller. On the other side, a DJ bike is intended to resist big impacts thanks to the fork, rear shock and the size of the frame, so no one would be so insane to compete in a proper Slope Style event riding a BMX bike. You gotta consider that it's not the same to do a frontflip, tailwhip or whatever in BMX than in DJ, that's why I don't see ur point when u say pro BMX riders would take all of the prize money riding mountain bikes on the weekends...2 different worlds mate! BTW shitty dubstep music is not only used in FR videos, it is everywhere!
