The SRAM pART Project concept is simple: each selected artist recieves 100 high-performance SRAM bike components. Artists then sculpt, mold, paint, create, and destroy to their hearts content. The resulting art is auctioned off to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to World Bicycle Relief. The first pART project auction in November, 2011 proved to be a huge success,
raising nearly $100,000. June 2012 marks the return of the popular bike-art auction with SRAM pART Project – Velo Village.

Okay maybe the production of the grip shift is a little slow, or something happened with production and they can't get them finished and shipped out. Complaining here on Pinkbike isn't going to help you get it any faster. If you have something to say, email SRAM about it.
