They definitely took inspiration from CNC cutting tools, but does this actually work? I mean does the rider feel the difference?

They're so nice! I really appreciate all the engineering that went into each bike. It's just nice to look at, and I really wish I was working in this industry (not just building bikes, but actually designing them)
