The film is about the history of the mountain bike. The film profiles the Marin pioneers (Fisher, Breeze, Kelly, Cuningham, Potts, etc.), and the more obscure characters that influenced them. There are great interviews and a pile of archival footage of the early days of klunking down the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais. The film won 'Best Documentary' at the Durango Independent Film Festival, and was nominated for 'Best Documentary' and 'Emerging Filmmaker' awards at the 2007 X-dance Action Sports Awards.KLUNKERZ will make it's East Coast premiere in NYC at the Bicycle Film Festival on May 19th. The screening will be held at 2nd and 2nd at the Anthology Film Archives at 5:00 pm. You can find out more at www.klunkerz.com or www.bicyclefilmfestival.com. Ride on!
