The Sproat Lake Marathon - June 6th, 2010
AVR Presents The Sproat Lake Marathon XC featuring THE LAZER SHARK
This Sunday, June 6th Alberni Valley Riders (Vancouver Island, BC) invite the world to the Sproat Lake Marathon. This race was first hosted in 2008 and received rave reviews from all who entered and survived.
Details inside,Alberni Valley Riders are pleased to announce their upcoming Marathon on Sunday June 6th at Sproat Lake.
This marathon length course includes The Lazer Shark, which is a brand new trail born from the fires of Hell! Don’t expect to enjoy it while you are riding it, but the memories of it will haunt you for the rest of your life! It is perfectly suited for a fully rigid, single speed 29er or a DH bike. Bring your toe spikes and bibs and make sure that you are well caffeinated!
15km loop, 4 hour bell lap format – like a 12 hour only shorter!

Location – Sproat Lake - Cougar Smith Park on Faber Road. Google Map of Location
Map – Google Earth Course map
Time – Registration 9am, Race starts 10am and ends at 2pm
Fees – $30 (includes burger, fries, and drink!)

Food Bank Donation! - Please bring a non-perishable food item to the race for donation to the local food bank. It’s our way to help out others at times when donations can be short.
