Bootleg Canyon Gravity Fest

The Bootleg Canyon Winter Gravity Series kicks off this year in Boulder City, Nevada with a fun gathering right after Thanksgiving. This event will showcase how spectacular Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park is and get everyone into the racing spirit for the upcoming winter season. The Bootleg Canyon Gravity Fest will start on Friday, the 28th of November and continue until Sunday, November 30th. Expect great weather as this is the region during the off-season for mountain biking in the USA. Typically 70 degrees and sunny with a light breeze would be the norm.

The event kicks-off early on Friday with shuttles bringing riders up the hill and an MTB Fundamentals clinic offered by Shine Riders, featuring professional rider Lindsay Beth Currier. Saturday will include Shuttles starting at 9:00am, another Shine Rider clinic with Enduro Skills, a Best Whip contest followed by beer and food cooked and served by the event hosts. Kegs of beer will be available for free to all ticket holders 21 and older during the included barbecue/live music fest. Sunday will be more shuttles, DH clinics from Shine Riders, kid’s races and a Pump Track Challenge. The cost to attend will be $35 pre-registration for 1 day, or $50.00 to $60.00 for all 3 days and can be found at www.downhillmike.com.

To register onsite it will cost $40 for 1 day, or $75.00 for the entire weekend. Registration will also open for the 1st race of the season, the Nevada State DH Championships slated for January 16 thru January 18, 2015.
