So does this mean me and the most of us ameturs will finish actually finish this year?

That's funny... Last year Crankworx Enduro was said to be too 'extreme' when comes to transitions. So many chairlifts this year and first comments are negative as well... Make up your mind community!

There is not ONE community. People are different...

Having grown up here, I can say this is going to be a hard day, you guys have it all wrong. It is a ton of very physical descending, with plenty of pedalling in the stages. Should be a ton of fun though!

Pretty much the complete opposite from last year. I can't help but feel that the opening of the Creekside Gondola had a huge influence on the course design. Considering it opens just two days before the race, Whistler Blackcomb want to showcase it as much as possible. Would have been nice to have 2 or 3 climbed stages, along with the lift assisted ones. But some heavy descending stages for sure. Stage 2 is a beast. I rode that the other day and I can't imagine going full throttle all the way down it. And Stage 3 is one of my fav rides especially now they've bermed a bunch of the corners on See Colours And Puke. And it's basically in my backyard as well. Sweet.

They've definitely gone to the opposite extreme this year after all the complaints of the massive amounts of climbing last year. I'm a little disappointed at the difficulty of trails this year. Last year, there were more difficult technical trails. This year, they seem to have focused on flowier trails.

Only one climb? Lame. All the transitions are on the Valley Trail or Bike Park lifts.

This should be limited to 1 chairlift transition, And then giving riders more time to make it through a transition on there bike, allowing amateurs to actually have a chance and have some funs. This seems like downhill racing, just with the name enduro. For the pros it will definitely just come to who can absolutely pin it in the bike park.... Not the usual combination of skill and sheer fitness of those transitions.

Am I reading that correctly? 14,000 ft of climbing in one day? In only 34 miles!
(Aug 5, 2015 at 23:01)
Most of it lift access this year only 60-90 minutes of climbing through all that I'd say
