Sep 29, 2020
by SCOTT Sports

Our friends at the Châtel Bike Park have recently cut in a World Cup Level DH track. Join the Scott DH Factory and other heavy hitters from the World Cup as they lay first tracks on this full on track!

With World Champs around the corner, this was the ideal time to put in some final testing for several World Cup teams.

 Hmm a WC in Chatel - that would be awesome!

 That actually looks better than the average World Cup track, these guys were lucky to get to ride it first. There's nothing like a fresh natural track before all the top dirt gets eroded away and more rocks are exposed, it's softer and the traction is nice. It's never the same as that first time.

 Yes, looked much better than the average WC track. Looked to have a full variety of terrain and fast.

 soooo excited for DH racing to start again. I just hope they don't get snowed out!

 It would be cool to have endless high end tires available so that you can snip the treads off without puking

 @luap: Thank you. Very short opening period I think.
Bikepark Planai/Schladming here has open from end of Mai 'til November - 6 full months.

 @styleguide: Here the winter season tends to end at the end of April and then there tends to be alot of snow until pretty much mid June above 1500m so opening early is unlikely to happen. This year the bikepark was open until end 26th September because the last weekend we had 30cm of snow at 2000m...

 @styleguide:
There’s 50cm of snow up there right now.

 The track looks sick, shame it won't be permanent as it is made up of parts of existing trail as well as fresh new stuff.
