We all know that when Oakley joined forces with FOX something beautiful was going to happen. This collaboration over the past few years has rocked it and again 2009 is no different.

The new Fox Main Pro Goggles.

2009 Fox Main Pro Goggles

Four new color ways for 2009 should keep you cool cats happy out there. Before I scare you, these retail at £49.99 here in the UK. Stateside I'm guessing around $65.00 though I'm sure someone will correct me.

That's top money for a goggle, are these top goggles? I'll give you the facts and you decide...

Model - Latenese Clear

Windows? Even Bill Gates would be impressed with these anti-fog and scratch resistant lexan lenses. These can't guarantee your operating system won't crash once a day though. Where's Scott McNeally when you need him?

Model - Platinum Clear

Did Fox/Oakley invent these side extensions? Either way they are the bomb and are flexible enough to fit as snug as a bug in a rug in almost any helmet out there? Yes..

Model - Inked Clear

Ribbed for your pleasure?

Something for the weekend sir? Not that kind of rubber, these three rubber strips woven into the nylon strap make sure your goggles stay in place on the back of your skid lid.

The nose guard is removable. Just note the one we removed is still sat here on my desk. I can't for the life of me get her back in.

Why have a nose guard? Well if you race MX you know that answer, race MTB then not required as we don't get anyone out infront of us tearing up rocks and stones from their rear wheel, lap after lap.

Model: My Favorite - Plaid Clear

The super soft triple-layer of face foam is uber comfy and promises to absorb all that sweat we generate. Do the heads at Fox not ride in the UK? We'd only need one layer, saying that the triple might absorb all the rain, we've hardly had a dry weekend all year.

Model - Explode Clear

Bonus Time Kids: These all come with one pack of seven Fox laminated together tear-offs! RESULT.
Just note there is an extra tear-off bobble on the left hand side of the frame to secure down the excess flapping plastic. Why on the left? Well again if you rode MX you'd know that. You always have your hand on the throttle for mid air control and the throttles always on the right hand side. Unless your Irish?

Is the goggle strap removable for washing? No! Is that a bad thing? Well I think so, you could take the lens out and pop them in the washing machine. We don't all live in SoCal you know, damn Americans!

Fox Goggles, replacement lenses and tear-offs are available from all good MTB stores and trackside from your Arthur Daley types.

Stay Unclipped.

they basically are crowbars. Im guessing its just another way for them both to successfully make money. Depends if you want a more angular one with Fox logos, or a flowy one with Oakley logos. I love them both!
