Pinkbike.com, the world's most highly trafficked online MTB news and media source, has hired marketing and brand wrangler
Julian Coffey as publisher.Coffey, who has been with Race Face since early 2006, was the man behind the recent brand refresh of the Canadian bike component and apparel company. He also includes Giant Bicycles, Hayes Bicycle Group and Helly Hansen in his portfolio. As Pinkbike's publisher, he will oversee everything that goes into the final output of the online news source, and will be responsible for the strategic direction of all Pinkbike digital and online properties.
Users can expect things to remain unmistakably Pinkbike, but with a few additional rocket boosters strapped on. The up to the minute content will only improve, the quality of the editorial will continue to increase, and the overall look and feel of Pinkbike will undergo some fine tuning. There has been a marked shift from print to online based content, and Pinkbike has been at the forefront of this movement for over 10 years. In all, a little help from JC is designed to take the already number one mountain bike web magazine into its next phase of growth.

Pinkbike founder Radek Burkat said: "We're so stoked to work someone who shares the same vision for Pinkbike! PB is a community of riders passionately dedicated to their sport, and Julian is one of those people."
"Julian represents with the most verve I've ever seen!", said Karl, the other half of the fabulous Burkat brothers. "His main objective at Pinkbike is to spearhead a very aggressive review of the brand's positioning, and move it toward the next level in its evolution. In other words, prepare to see some crazy shit!"

Coffey said: "This is huge! By no means am I a gamer, but I liken it to having just stumbled across the biggest weapons cache you could imagine. The opportunity at PB to help publish this content, and to work with the community that helps create it is definitely an all timer for me."

The move comes as Pinkbike.com crests the
110,000 unique visitors a day mark, content that is served out over
65 million pageviews a month. This record amount of traffic from a mountain bike community is certainly not sedentary, and is increasing by over 50% a year.
From the Pinkbike community - welcome aboard!
