For Whistler local Zemery Foster, the perfect day begins, after no small effort, in a tent on the very peak of Mount Sproatt. Riding through the Whistler alpine is a surreal experience rivaled by few things. After climbing and descending a mountain with 50 pounds of camping gear on his back, Zemery heads to the bike park to squeeze in some evening laps before finishing the day at his favorite restaurant. Because really, what is more perfect than a good dinner for under $5?

Looks like a nice time but if you get pedaling early you could do achieve all of that, except riding up from the Valley, and without 50lb of gear. It's almost urban alpine camping.

With my equally heavy camera bag, I needed to put something on Zemery to slow him down as well on the climb.

Just because it's easily accessible doesn't mean camping up there isn't wicked! Waking up on top of a mountain and shredding down is pretty rad regardless of where that mountain is.

@GarrettMacIntosh: I’m with ya on that. It makes a good ride a great ride. And I don’t know about you but my perfect day doesn’t start with a 4 hour climb, it starts with an alpine sunrise and hours of sweet trail to descend in front of me

@StefanProductions: Awesome footage but where is LOTS?? The climb is tough but camping there must've been awesome (lots of mosquito repellent required). Awesome video but too short. Also, what is the name of song and artist?

@MMOF: Thanks, camping was insane. It was cold enough that there were zero bugs. Our goal was to shoot predominantly alpine, though we definitely would have shot some more LOTS if we hadn’t run out of food halfway through on the rocks. Music was It’s Only by Odeza

@StefanProductions Those focus pulls just before the bike park part were sick, and so was the shot under the A-Line bridge. Awesome shots

came here to say this, when I saw Red Chair I was wondering if you were going to do that transition shot... turned out really well. Cool vid.

@gramboh: Thanks! We saw the red chair from lord of the squirrels and couldn’t resist.

Good thing he took a tent as looks like he spent the morning riding around in circles presumably lost in the mountains Wink
Sure is beautiful up there though!

Looks like you have a drone that not only can hover very close to the rider. Some of the most teck drone filming I have seen.

The moving shots are filmed on a DJI Ronin MX, but the video is our submition to the Freehub Mag Win a Drone contest, so with some luck I’ll have a drone soon.
