bigquotes I started shooting MTB in 2003 when I was invited to the Fort William World Cup for the first time by a pal called, Joe Elliot. I took a few snaps and gave them to the organisers who liked them and used them. In 2004 I bought a better camera and the rest is history. I have now shot for Norco, Oneal, FMD Racing, Unior, Fort William World Cup, Windham World Cup, Rockwell, Lowerpro, Hope, City Downhill, 2024 Mag, MBUK, Red Bull, Pinkbike, Downhill247, Wideopen, Singletrack and more.

"My main kit used this year is Canon 1dx, 5dmkiii, Fuji X100, 18-55mm, 16-35mm, 70-200mm, 300mm, 135mm, 50mm, 40mm, 24mm. I didn't use a flash this year, so any flash you see is a stolen one. All the shots from this year's slideshow are race, practice and qualifying shots. There are no photo shoot, set ups or 100 takes in this set - I stress this as the front cover of a magazine like MBUK can take dozens of takes with three flashes to perfect sometimes. All of the shots in the slideshow were taken with one chance to get the shot, or I'd lose it forever. My favourite venue this year was Lenzerheide, I think a lot of photographers and riders feel the same, there was so much scope to experiment. Next year I will be shooting all of the World Cups bar Cairns. I'll also be shooting World Champs and a few other bits in the year. I want to shoot more City Downhill in 2016, it makes a nice change. The best moments in 2015 have to be being able to shoot in the sun in just a t-shirt with a cold cider in my Lowerpro. The worst moments have to be when my flight lost my luggage (again), not being to find any cider abroad, getting stuck in traffic outside Vallnord for five hours, insect bites and the dust, it gets everywhere, including your sensor. I don't usually hype up other photographers, but this year I would say my favourite photographer has to be Margus Riga, his Rampage pics were epic. This year the slideshow was edited and created on Photoshop CS6, I feel you don't lose quality and it has some nice effects." - Keith Valentine

That was awesome. Lots of hard work. Lots of unique moments. The photo of a track stand from tire point of view would make a sick decline cover shot. Nice work on all of those.
