I had one like that --- with the mag wheels and everything --- it was one of my first BMX's --- after that, I had a really nice RedlIne and then a Mongoose with the honeycomb alloy mag wheels. I used to bend the cranks from so much jumping.

We would grease the rear axle with Vaseline then ride down this really steep hill on Sandy Point Dr (Portsmouth RI).. we'd "ride" the brake until the rear axle began to smoke from the heat burning that Vaseline. they never caught fire but, I bet we were pretty close. had we used something flammable, I'm sure those things would light up from the friction.

ha ha -- then the other thing we'd do is ride down that hill as fast as we could, then lay a drifting skid for as long as we could -- back then they had those square edge fatty slick tires that were great for skidding.

wait, did you also have a Brian Burns? the red headed kid with the disproportionally large head? you also took his bike and hung in the highest tree you could find near his apartment? did you also ghost ride your dad's bike until you bent the crap outta the fork?

No Burnsy, but bent the hell outta my Uncle's 10 speed fork from jumping/doing wheelies with it...it looked like it was raked like a chopper...boy he was pissed at me..."do you have to wheelie everything you get on"? They used to have a Wheel Horse rider mower, and a small slope in their yard...I would get about half-way up the slope, and put in the clutch...when it would start to go backwards down the slope, I would pop the clutch and pull the front end up like an old drag car...tore the sh*t outta their yard...he didn't like that too much either...

I remember when the mag wheel first came out my mate had them he said if you buckle the wheel chuck it some water and it will straighten it's self

Was that true? I had a striker with spokes so I've no idea lol!

I've never heard that before, but doesn't sound legit to me! I was told you could heat it up with a blow-dryer and straighten it, but don't know about that one either!
