the more i look at this beauty, the more i like it, a lot of thought has gone into that frame. loving the straight line from back wheel to head tube...snice
you can tell that a lot of thought went into the design for sure. the frame checked many of my wants. 160mm travel, 4-bar, internal routing, front mech ready, steep seat angle, long-ish TT, looks great, bottle cage ready, the paint scheme, on and on
the frame came with two headsets, removable cable guides, chainstay wrap,
this is beside a building with a big overhang. a little to the left and there's a pile of snow. haha. The streets were clear enough for me to roll down to work today. Body position felt really good! oh man, I just can't wait to send this thing down a hill! ...with me on it of course
on my ride in today I noticed that the 2x chain device rubs the tire. Yikes. I may swap to 1x with a top guide and a 1-up system of some kind. Little tweaks and she'll be sweet like cherry wine
I had that issue when I originally built my patrol as 2x10, all I did was drop a couple of small washers between the guide and the lower rear tab and that gave it enough clearance, or maybe there is the possibility of repositioning the guide?
going to take a closer look tonight. it looks like I'll reach a limit once I get to the granny ring. It's literally touching the tire lugs and I assume that would get worse as I hit corners and flex the wheel. I would like more clearance than a washer might give me. I can't rotate the guide anymore away from the tire for sure. Ah well, another thing to tinker with, which I enjoy anyway!
Fair play and good luck! On a final suggestion, maybe a drive side BB spacer, then you move the guide further over too. This shouldn't affect the chain line too much. I have done this myself to on an HT in the past,
