we live in a time of plenty when it comes to good bike options. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like it but I'm really happy with it. The truth is that it's a simple robust design that works well. Nothing fancy to it really but all the modern features are included. Later this year I might try to get offset bushings to go down to 65deg HA but for now I've ridden some steep ass trails at 67 and no real concerns (with the right fork it should be 66 but with my 26" 36 talas it's measured at 67). It corners really well with this set up. And with the talas I'm climbing steep stuff with no problems. I'm a happy shopper right now. Will probably keep the surge for a while longer too. Run it with 26 out back and 27 up front. just under 65 deg HA for that and it makes sense with the HT. That little bike is super fun and tough too. and I can use it at the pump track with the kids. good times!
