Looking good buddy!
I too spent the weekend working for forks, good fun!
My buddy complained of his 55marz feeling stiff under sag.
I saw and first thought wow thats strange and told him the air damper could be stuck somehow.
We took it apart greased the air damper and changed the oil in the rebound and compression damper.
Cool, it was a fun stinky process like always.
Put it back on the bike and soon noticed it was still locking out under sag.
hahahhahhahahha I realised its in the damper and its deliberate.
Under sag, the damper locks out to prevent bobbing, super cool feature but we thought it was a flaw.
We then went out on my bike too which as the same damper 350 and noticed it did the same thing, ahahhaha
Something I personally never noticed or cared about because at speed the fork is brilliantly smooth!
RideOn!
Interesting, is it some kind of position sensitive LSC? The frame is getting fixed so decided to do a service on the fork since i can't go riding Love working on suspension but hate how dirty and greasy it is
Yes, very interesting finding out new things but they really should advertise this feature so we know whats going on. My fork is a 2015 and his is a 2014, we noticed the newer model has less friction.
Yes, me too, my hands smelt like grease for 2 days.
I really need to get in the habit of wearing gloves!
If you look at my profile page, you will see my DH sled. It is my Gucci bike...lots of bling. It took me 8 month to build my dream machine, but only because it took that long for me to get red spokes from Loaded Precision in California.
Hahaha, no Drak was joking, this is the Vengeance HLR rebound piston and cartridge, can't believe how easy it was to service after spending several years on 36 RC2. Mattock was on the list (with Veng HLR and Marz) when i got this fork but they were sparse and expensive on the second hand market a year and a half ago!
