i head espected they use less pivot points,who gotta own these bike haves alot off maintenence going on.I don't like the downtube off this bike it's to much bend,still a nice bike.

How many pivots are on a VPP Bike? This bike is probably not any worse. Its actually growing on me, I didn't like it at first either. I would definately wait for a later model, I suspect you'll see the weight on this thing come down next year as it looks pretty over built.

It has no more pivots than your average 4-bar, 4 linkage pivots, and 2 shock pivots!

I heard another site quote a DH set up weight of around 42lbs... kind of heavy, but hopefully a lighter parts mix can drop this

42 pounds isnt kind of heavy really. light DH bikes are getting so common that people are beggining to forget that a bit of weight can actually help on a DH run.
