@baggyferret: wellllllll, riding nearly 6 days a week takes it toll on gear. Down to 5 days a week now that autumn is creeping in. year to date 56K m of elevation gained in 1,500 kms. 100 rides on the nose. big year, I'm surprised more didn't fall apart. they make bikes so well these days.
@conv3rt: tell me about it ha ha! you dunno where i can get a new back do you? bikes and parts are very well made and last a surprising amount of time if looked after, i still have a super V running same wheels, gears etc, 18 years old now and still going well, same rear shock, original pivot bearings, amazing! how do you feel riding so much? happy i expect
I like your shiny blue but I will settle for a mint green for now! ahhahahhah Its my recovery bike as my shoulder has been too torn up to do any really riding. Im having fun on it and it feels snappy and fun but limits what I can do, this is good as my shoulder has just shut down on me the couple of times I tried to do a real mountain ride. I have an extra wheel set for it so it can easily be swapped for mountain use too but the 456 is already set up that way with a 170mm fork! I really love the pedal response of a HT and the steal I think does take the edge off. On the bluepig yesterday, I hit a small 2 foot drop out of the blue my a 7/11 and was cringing as I came down but it sucked it up a lot better than I was expecting!
