Timed Train Tables
Got a new camera and wanted to make things complicated just for fun. I'd seen this angle a while back, but hadn't made use of it. We had a nice chilled session on Monday and noticed we ended up with 4 riders...so I got ready & sent my request to the boys. They kept going for ages to get as synched as possible. We didn't manage to get all the tables perfectly clicked before dark, but super happy on how this turned out.

This is just amazing. Very well shot, I can't stop looking at it!

calling POY on this one...... or at least half final, getting kicked out by a roast shot, or somebody doing a manual on top of a mountain.

Interesting theory. I'm voting back-lit sunset landscape with mountain biker inserted to fulfill rule of thirds.

Dude!!! You've outdone yourself this time.

Wow! it is so good that for a second I thought it was fake (photoshop) but it is not! Amazing...

Great work! Good color and lighting, fitting aperture, those vignetting bushes... - amazing.

Probably the most deserved POD I've ever seen! I wonder how many tries it took...?

I just had a look & we tried 15 times and this one was the 14th one.

@ericpalmer: This is seriously one of the best photos I've ever seen on PB. I love the composition, the timing, the use of the strobe, and the Photoshop work to blend it all together. Very nice work.

Timing on this truly is everything!

So good it almost doesn't look real. Not calling Photoshop, just recognizing what an outstanding shot this is. Way to go!

You've really outdone yourself this time, Eric! Calling it for POY already!

This should win POY next year, but it will be beaten in the first round by one of the 20 back-lit landscape shots.

Nice shot was the flash sync at like 20,000 or what? Look pretty sharp for 125th on lead rider.....

 Thanks!
I was on 250th, not 125th & always shoot with my flashes on 1/2 or lower to have a short duration to freeze the rider. If I zoom in on Justin (front rider) I'm sure there is a tiny silhouette blur in front of him, but riders slow down so much at the peak of the air that you don't need crazy fast speeds to freeze them.
