Basically I got 3' of 3" x 1/4" flat bar and cut it into 6 pcs 6" long, 1 pc 20mm round bar x 6" long, 2 pcs 1/2" thread bar, a bunch of 1/2" washers and nuts, 8 x 1" x 3/8 NC machine screws and locknuts, 1 x old bottom bracket with the axle removed, and old pair of DH skis, 2 x BMX pegs $18 at Canadian Tire. All material cost $60.
To cut the material I used a 10" cutoff disk in my mitre saw.
I ground the 1/2" threadbar down at the rear drop out so that it would fit but still be strong.
I ground a pair of 1/2" washers down to fit inside the BB cups where the BB removal tool goes to center the pegs.
I drilled and re-tapped the pegs to fit 1/2" NC thread bar and installed in the BB shell the 20mm round bar is for the front fork.
I took 3 pcs of 3" x 1/4" flat bar and welded them together with the axles and drilled 4 holes in the bottom to bolt an old pair of skis to.
