Just picked up a 2018 SE Big Ripper, used, wrong front wheel, it has a 700c on it. Needs new pedals and a new front wheel, but a smooooookin' deal on this one!

Well, disregard my previous comment asking if you got a Ripper, I seen the sticker pics before this pic. Man, you are gonna enjoy the crap out of this bike. I love mine!!!!!! It is my go to bike, now. I do my fitness rides and just cruising. I have taken it to the sk8prk and I love it. I never did get it on the track as I have a 24" race bike. But, I also have a 26" OM Flyer that I have gotten on the track and loved it. Seriously considering dumping the 24 and just racing the 26. Anyway, the only way I would get rid of the 29 is if Todd Lyons finally gets a model out with a rear disc brake. Front rims are easy to come by. Planet BMX is a big supplier of Ripper stuff. I know you said you don't do FaceBook, but, there is a group out of California called 24,26, 29 inch BMX Only! that is pretty much Rippers and all the retro BMX bikes and parts galore for sale on the forum. My only advice to you is this bike will be so addictive and you'll find yourself riding it all the freaking time!!!!!! I love that color of blue.

I was hoping you would see my pics & comment Smile I am super stoked, buddy! I have wanted one for quite some time, and this one was a deal & a 1/2! I rode it around as-is, and am absolutely in love already! Gotta get a Champ Clamp, and new Beartraps as well as decals, but haven't decided on stock or custom. I have a few 24's but never really ride them. I see myself riding this one mostly, other than the Yetis on the trails. I love the color too! Looks great along the Yeti AS-X and my Taj 26...Thanks Buddy! tup

@FIVE8FIVE: O yeah, you will ride the heck out of it. The guys on the forum customize the crap out of these bad boys. Mine is pretty much stock. I changed the seat post, because I had one with height markings. I went with a more sleek saddle and used the NS District bars. I put on van's waffle lock-ons and changed the pedals. I'm running all stock tires, and drivetrain, without any problems after 3 or 4 years, now. The things I changed were just preference. This bike is solid and will take a beating. I have seriously considered putting a suspension fork on it and going single speed for MTB with it, but I would prefer to have disc brakes. Like I said, the only way I would put this one down is if they decide to do a disc brake model. I really think it might happen, this year or next.

@bikeman543: Nice! I plan on getting SE Beartrap pedals and SE Champ Clamp, but am still up in the air on color choices. I was gonna go red accents, but now am thinking gold. Also debating on gold stock decals or custom design like my last post. Or maybe just leave it sans decals, it looks pretty sweet all clean. I checked out that Facebook group you mentioned, and couldn't view items for sale not being a FB'er and all. I know this will be a keeper bike for sure, I just love the feel of it. When we eventually take a vacation to the Gulf, I wanna take it to cruise around and check stuff out, Mama can ride the Taj or my Evil...hahahaha

@FIVE8FIVE: Beartraps?! Wow, you live dangerously, hahaha. I changed both my seat clamps to quick release. It made it easier to lower the seat for the park and racing. My bike is the white model with gold accents. I think it looks awesome clean, but stickers are always nice, too. O yeah, it will be a great bike for touring around town and the bay. I got my wife a Framed 26er. She hasn't been on it much, but planning to get her on it more, now that the weather is cooling off...she hates the heat! I'm still running the original Thick Slicks on mine. I have a few cuts on the rear and just now bought a new tire for the rear, but haven't put it on, yet. They are 2.1 and are smooth as heck. Kinda gives it an MTB look. If you look at my profile you can see it. Check out Planet BMX, they have tons of retro BMX and SE parts. Bellflower is another one.

@FIVE8FIVE: O yeah, that is sweet. The forum is full of really beautiful bikes. There is a secret page, too, which offers raffles and there are some really great stuff on there. Gary Turner (former GT) has tons of retro customs, along with Bassett customs. It becomes a serious addiction. I have managed to stay calm, since I am a rider and not a collector, but sometimes it is really hard to pass over some of those bikes that are for sale.

I'd run the rear as slim as the front, would be an awesome bmx track racer.
