Ugh, every time I see a Shiver it pains me that I didn't spend the extra money for the AC 1 that had that fork on it. One of life's many regrets.

Don't kick yourself too much: Sure, it took a decade for anything to replicate that level of smoothness, but the torsional stiffness of the single-crown version was terrible.

Never tried the RAC; maybe that was the Holy Grail of inverted single-crowns ... ?
