Basically he bought the tractor and I bought the backhoe attachment.. Worked out pretty well!

Shit yeah, that's a great tractor. I like your dad's style, I could use a midlife crisis tractor!

We did all the site prep for his house with it, so it's definitely been "worth it" but it's been super handy to have overall, just a few more attachments I'd like.. And I am going to use daddy's toys as a side business so I am not complaining.. Definitely more useful to me than a midlife crisis Mopar. Haha

What attachments are you looking at? Bet you could make some good cash with a box grader spreading gravel and shit like that. Plenty of power on the pto to run a brush hog too... Super versatile and great fuel burn rate, you can be a super lucrative hand for hire with that thing.

@badbadleroybrown: a grapple would be huge for our use.. I moved probably 5000lbs of big boulders today with the pallet forks where a grapple would have save me many trips from the driver seat to the front of the tractor to reposition boulders.

A box scraper and a brush hog would make this into a complete "system" where I could do pretty much everything.

Although a buddy just let me spend 10 hours in his 80k mini-ex... A/C, Radio, articulated bucket, quick change buckets, etc.. It spoiled me.

That'd be a sweet setup, fully capable at that point... until you get hooked and step up to a fleet of bigger machines lol

@badbadleroybrown: problem is bigger machines mean bigger trucks and trailers.. I have my CDL, but just the cost of the equipment alone for that step up is substantial..

No joke... hell, just the fuel costs on big equipment is crazy.

Is that a 3E series? Yours?

4320. It was dad's mid life crisis that I threw 10k at as well. But we didn't have a good trailer to haul it with.

I bought the trailer today and already made $200 by moving some 500lb boulders around for a old Neighbor.

Figure if dad's going to have it sitting around, I might as well make it pay for itself.
