same basic concept as a V-10 or M6, yes but more like take a V-10 and make it mate with a Trek Session 88 and they have this totally crazy baby, that is what we have here essentially! I am looking into a distributor in Japan. hopefully for 2009!
Awesome ride, but be prepared to do some truing with the Azonic Outlaws...I own a set that have given me some problems, but still a great bang for your buck.
I've beat the crap out of these and other pairs of Outlaw wheels and never had a problem with them myself. Heavy wheels can come out of true easier however. I am happy they are moving to 32 hole finally. I want to get a pair and rebuild them with butted spokes.
save rotational eight and make them stronger.
I guess my one doubt would be the "seat tube" that's made of two sheets/bars(?) of aluminum, it doesn't look as strong as a tube, then again, I could be very wrong.
not sure what they will be for Japan. US cost retail fame kit is targeted for $2599 - $2699 frame/rear shock/pivot rebuild kit/extra rear hanger/2 rear axles/hat or t-shirt.
for the Katana L.S.[(Long Sword/(Long Stroke)], no. We are however testing a 180mm travel rear end/link kit that we may offer aftermarket as an upgrade to the Katana or offer it as the Katana S.S. [(Short Sword/(Short Stroke)]. The tolerances are so tight on the frame there really is no option to move the shock without a full re-engineer of both the front and rear triangles. The lower travel option may be be released with the long travel one by mid/late 2009. Both will use a 9.5X3 but you can run DHX air with the 180mm as the leverage rate is designed for it.
