maybe, tough i doubt it, as I rarely put much force on my seat. Also I know people who run their seat posts a lot shorter and haven't had any problems.

Lol i chopped my seat post and it cracked my frame cuz its wasnt past the welds...

You cud probably crack Your frame with a seatpost that short..you may wanna look into a post with a inch or 2 more
