Well still gotta get it out in the sun (When there is some) but I got ma dad to do these pics on his high quality camera rather than my crappy phone just to proove once and for all. ITS ORANGE!!! lol
Oh my f*cking god. I gave this its first outing today. Horrible conditions. Absolute f*cking mud bath. But still. WHAT A MACHINE! Im so pleased. This bike is truely summat else. And the magura forks are so so plush. Maxxis highrollers are awesome. Just all round. Really really chuffed Had to spend ages cleaning it after lol But just wow. Im one happy boi Cwm Carn here I come.
I went to the core bike show today with my boss. And I saw my frame in the werks red colour I was going to get. Very nice. But Im glad I went for the Orange. Found out that its a limited edition colour and only 10 or 12 of them were brought into the UK. And it is a 2008 model. So Im well pleased. I love having limited edition stuff coz it means you dont see another one (or its very unlikely you will see another one) My Rocky mountain jump bike was also a limited edition frame too. Only 10 of those came to the UK too And that was the 2007 model I think. Also got the axel spacers for my Intense that I should have got with it. So thats all good now. Much more secure And I had a problem with my Cane creek headset rubbing slightly on the top cap. So I spoke to the Vice president of the cane creek company. Very nice guy. And have gave me a couple of shims to space it up right and a free limited edition top cap Only works with 1.5 steerer tho. But still will keep it if I ever do go 1.5 as it is a sexy top cap Also saw a Fizik saddle in Orange which was Dam sexy. But not available lol. Its only a test saddle. But hoping I can blag one from the Rep at some point. Also saw that they are now doing the E13 chain device in Orange lol. But still I think it would have been too much orange anyways. But yeh peeps. You are in for a real treat for 09. Some real nice kit coming out
haha sam calm down boy! the orange looks sick on it i just thought! you should custom spray the floating rotors orange. that might be cool. i havnt really thought it through
Nah didnt want to go over the top with the Orange. for an extra £50 I could have had the forks done in Orange. (See the Magura website. They do em any colour you like) But I just thought nah. I wanna do Orange and black
Im really pleased with how the weight came out. As you see it here. Complete bike 34 pounds dead. Same as my jump bike lol. Crazy light for a bike like this
i think its because you went for the Singletrack rims there light and strong. as long as you dont do any crazy mad drops or your a smooth rider! most people spec their bikes with DT 5.1's or some MTX equivelant.
true. And even if I do drops and stuff Im not that hard on the bike coz Im only a light weight. lol. I only weight around 10 stone (bout 145 pounds ish)
is that a small or meium? how tall are you? i'm looking to get one of these frames either later this year or i mite wait till they bring out a 2nd version. they already brought out a new Tracer VP and Uzzi, which was featured in bike magic & bike radar. they look wel sweet! i just hope intense dont phase out the slopestyle, like they did for the 6.6.
This is the small. Im a short arse. Im 5ft 6" and I found if I tried any other style of bike with a 160mm travel fork or more I just didnt have the top tube clearence. Even this is close. Certainly couldnt put a longer travel fork on it. Eventho the frame can take up to a 200mm travel fork. If I did that. Well lets just say I wouldnt have to worry about using contaception for the rest of my life. lol
LOL thanks buddy! im a short arse too! 5ft 7" so a small frame Intense would seem to be the ideal size for me. i've already got a set of Lyrics 2 Step Airs and Racface Atlas cranks (of my other bike) waiting in storage to be put on the intense. its gonna be my ultimate dream bike!
Well I sold the Orange years ago lol. So that isnt really a factor lol. But I cant really say the price obviously coz I got it staff prices and that. But yeh. Still shed loads of money lol. But hopefully not too bad once I have sold the bits and bobs I no longer need.
nice, wished i was a mechanic. would love to be able to do my own work on the bike rather than getting some one else from a shop to do it. i can do basic jobs, but not stuff like taking out bearings, putting chainsets on or headsets. one thing i'd like to learn is tuning gears in. never can do it, or just afraid i'd fuck things up even more! LOL
