Actually although it will happen to all materials eventually, the frame geometry changes the way the load is distributed and to what parts of the bike. Their design is obviously flawed because the load is supposed to be passed onto the suspension and not the frame. Also the location of the welds or the weaving of the alloy will factor into any frame stress related failures...I think it's fair to say that Kona needs to re-engineer their frame shape, structure, and perhaps even re-think how their alloy is being used. All based on the number of broken Kona's vs. "other brands" that I and almost everyone else on Pinkbike has seen
acticially, they don't break that easy ... well, the ones that were welded right. Besides, Buddy probably has the frame warenied. Kona is a good company, even though i am more of a norco/transition/turner fan.
its just the geo set ip of the stabs my mate even broke his but kona is a good company they gave him a damage replacment but all the photos ive seen they snapp in the exact same place
