it looks so nice, any idea on the weight? I just got a scale from crappy-tire today, and I have some disappointing results for my riot, but that's alright, just more reason to buy more light partsBig Grin .
  • 2 0
Support the bike economy. This bike was NOT built weight consciously and it weighs in at 28 lbs 5 oz confirmed. How much does your Riot weigh?
  • 2 0
 ooo... 30lbs 5oz Razz , BUT with my new tires, bar/stem and a 710sl I'll get'r down a bit.
  • 2 0
there's also the possibility of inaccuracy with this cheap scale.
  • 2 0
Holy shit dude. My Dob weighed about the same at one point. The Vajesty should weigh in around 25 (if it ever arrives).
  • 2 0
I calibrate mine often enough to know it's accurate, but in all fairness, CR had one that was off. You should calibrate it with something that you 100% know the weight of. Then you know if it's accurate or not. Word.

Edit: Crappy Tire will return ANYTHING.
  • 2 0
My next frame is gonna be an NS, hopefully a majesty. But I'm always changing my mind:P.
  • 2 0
Do it up!! I will guinea pig the Vajesty.
  • 1 0
Is a pound(claimed) chunk of butter accurate you think?
  • 2 0
How in the f*ck are you going to hang a chunk of butter?
  • 1 0
And NO, because the pound doesn't include the packaging.
  • 1 0
 stab it with the hook:P
  • 1 1
Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. The mental picture of that is hilarious. Topped only by the thought of you cleaning butter off the hook afterwards. lol
  • 1 0
lol I just did it, my moms a little pissed but it said 1 lb flat Big Grin and yes it was a little messy, but I just wiped it off:P
  • 2 0
"yes it was a little messy, but I just wiped it off" .....That's what she said!!

Well in that case I have good and bad news: Good: Your scale is accurate. Bad: You Riot weighs 30 lbs.
  • 1 0
oh damn forgot about thatFrown it's alright though, I am very motivated to buy stuff, lots of stuff.
  • 3 0
 Stuff kicks ass!!
  • 1 0
hey im thinking about buying one pleg for my sub just to run it on back and now always but sometimes is it a bad idea? like for the hub its ns coaster pro ss. idk did you ever have any problems with the hub cause of the pegs? is urs 10mm? and how did you get a peg up front?
  • 1 0
 PM me please.
  • 1 0
 He used superglue.
  • 1 0
Don't bait out my secret technique Gary. Geez.
  • 1 0
Sorry. I use tree sap when i want to stick fingz.
  • 1 0
Semen also works in absence of real adhesives.
  • 1 0
i actually superglued my bash together
  • 2 0
I thought you were doing up a Majesty. You already have a Dobermann. You have a Pike, a 36, and now appaerntly a 4X. You REALLY confuse me.
  • 3 0
Still waiting on the Vajesty. I just really like bikes and trying different parts. How is that confusing? Creating bikes is what makes me happy, why stop?
  • 2 0
It is very confusing to me. I suppose I approach things the opposite way, I figure out exactly what I like and spend thousands getting to that one place. It is cool though. Motivating me to build a Norco....
  • 5 0
This is how I figure out exactly what I like. I'm glad I built a new bike today because I learned that Eastern frames are really good for manuals because they have short stays and dropouts. I also learned that a lowered, stiff 4X feels almost like rigid, but without the numb wrists. I learned that my FireEye's are too short without spacers, and that the NS District bars feel better. This is how I form opinions and preferences for bike products. Yes, it's a bit expensive and excessive, but my happiness knows no budget lol. This is just how I roll.
  • 1 0
where do you get your money from?
  • 1 1
My career (not job, career). It pays well. In all fairness, this is the only thing I really spend money on too.
  • 3 0
Edit: There are also days I have to go without food because I spent too much on bike parts, so don't think I do it without sacrifice.
  • 1 0
 what is your career?
  • 2 0
i bet its easier to barspin then the dob haha. even though the forks at 50 or whatevs.
  • 1 0
 Forks are approximately 65mm travel.
  • 1 0
at least it works! lol cant wait leaving to NY in 15 min, comin back thursday just in time for my b-day on friday!!!!wana go to Ghettonia on friday? lol
  • 1 0
Have fun dude. Holla at me on friday, we'll shred in the evening if anything. You won't get to see the Dob for a while, she's out of comission for now.
  • 1 0
thanks, wats up with the dob?
  • 1 0
I needed parts for this build, so she is on the floor in my room behind me right now sans wheels and bars.
  • 1 0
i have spare rims and bars!!!!g2g see ya friday1
  • 1 0
 Have a good trip.
  • 1 0
wow, you should deff flip that stem, it'll ride way better, it's really hard to do tricks on a chopper.Smile
  • 1 0
With all due respect, I'm 6'4", I can't ride too tiny of a bike. I had shorter bars (3") on before and it was a bit too cramped for me. It feels better for my height now.

Salute
  • 2 0
and considering that the fork is lowered under 80mm, higher rise bars would be suitable.

so what happened between you and the owner of bike depot?
  • 1 0
the owner wasnt there but we had the bad manager in today who didnt let us do any repairs during the day...
  • 1 0
 He sucks. Thumbs Down
  • 1 0
Leon, you should send him the link for this photo. I will pay you to send him this link lol.
  • 1 0
yup, i hate him, if the owner was there wewould have bin able to do anything, especially something as easy as crank install. werw did you get it done?
  • 1 0
I hoofed it on down to Cyclepath at Finch. Gino let me into the shop, not to mention let me hijack his mechanic (thanks Victor!!) It took the two of us some head scratching still to get it together. It was a pain in the ass lol.
  • 2 0
Do you think the Geo is as good as the Dob?
  • 2 0
I hate to say it, but I think the Geo is better on the T-Bird. I love my Dob, but the geo on this bike is perfect!!
  • 1 0
Oh wow, i didn't expect that answer, i figured a may buy a dob sometime but wasn't sure about the geo
  • 2 0
Don't get me wrong, the Dob has great geo. The T-Bird just has perfect geo. I was very surprised by this frame.
  • 2 0
yeah, other then its a bit heavy, but when i had my frame apart i found it quite light
  • 2 0
Neither of them are too heavy.
  • 2 0
i don't understand how yours is 28 pounds, it seems to heavy
  • 1 0
 Which bike?
  • 2 0
 The Thunderbird
  • 1 0
Considering I put NO effort into weight weenieing this bike, 28 lbs isn't bad at all.
  • 1 0
i know but, the parts and lighter weight parts
  • 1 0
Nothing about this bike is light lol.
  • 1 0
4X's weight under 5 pounds, idk man , what do you have for wheels
  • 1 0
4X weighs more than 5 lbs (despite it's claimed weight), the Rims (AtomLab PIMP) and Front Tire is heavy (2.35 SBCool . Also, no Ti spindle. This bike is nothing but heft.
  • 1 0
 Edit: 2.35 SB8.
  • 1 0
oh yeah, PIMP's are a a hefty rim, and i hear the 4X were light, under 5, it sucks that they aren't
  • 1 0
Their claimed weight for the 4X is wrong.
  • 1 0
Marzo weigh it without Oil or Axle.
  • 1 0
 Thanks Gary. Salute
  • 1 0
So sick. Those arent the calibars? are they?
  • 1 0
Thanks. Nope, they Calibars were a bit too short so I tossed on the Districts. Problem solved.
  • 1 0
ah nice to see you finished it, it looks sick nice work
  • 1 0
Thanks Adam, I love how it rides and I just got a brake on it this morning so I won't die on my trails.
  • 1 0
gold stem is a nice touch on a sick bike.
  • 1 0
Cheers. I also have a matching BB cap spacer thingy. Looks baller for an uggo mutt bike!!
  • 1 0
uggo mutt,is this your rat bike you mean.
  • 1 0
Rat Bike has a much nicer ring to it. Salute
  • 1 1
lol i like it wouldnt use it as a rat bike.

some kid told me he paid £1000 for a bmx,i was like wtf it has no gears a tiny frame and little wheels where has the money been spent.
  • 1 0
I spent shiiiiiiit on this build. The drivetrain was the only thing that cost me any real money. I love the way this bike feels though. I took it to the jumps today and to be honest, I like the geo better than my Dob. I'm shocked!!
  • 1 0
its always a kick in the nuts when that happens.lol
  • 1 0
I don't mind it at all. I still love my Dob, but this thing is just plain fun!! With the super short stays and dropouts, it manuals like a dream!!
  • 1 0
it was worth the trouble in the end then i think yes
  • 1 0
Having ridden on the jumps with it......100% worth the trouble!!
  • 1 0
if i were u i would though your sprocket and cranks onto your dob
  • 1 0
 is your stem upside down?
  • 1 0
Yes. I prefer to call it flipped.
  • 1 0
i'm gonna come and steal your bikes Smile
  • 1 0
I won't lie, that wouldn't end well. Thankfully you are kidding. Cheers. Beer
  • 1 0
 If only I were kidding...
  • 1 0
 Not going to end well.
  • 1 0
 How do they all ride?
  • 1 0
They all ride great. The BMX needs some changes actually.
  • 1 0
i really like that stem Pimp
  • 1 0
 Primo Aneyerlator. So prime. tup
  • 1 0
ahaha, whered yu get it? it would match my bike so well.
  • 1 0
Dan's, 3Ride, and Hogtown all have it.
  • 1 0
what kind of seat post is that?I might want to get one for my nighttrain
  • 1 0
 Primo seat post.
  • 1 0
 k thanks
  • 1 0
lol i have a kenda small block 8,can we be blud brothers.
  • 1 0
 Sweet.
  • 1 0
I like this photo! Keep riding friend
  • 3 3
Legit bike. Very short seattube though
  • 1 1
I love it!! It is shorter because it has no collar (integrated clamp below).
  • 6 0
Its awesome how the bolt is under the seatstays.
  • 3 1
That looks pimp, grinds on 2-6. It is such an awesome bike man !
  • 1 0
And how did you get that 4X to run pegs ?
and you should weight it.
  • 2 1
It shreds so far. Prefect manual geometry (short). I want to go hit some jumps with it in a few minutes. It needs to see dirt (home).
  • 1 0
Custom mount. I should weigh it!!
  • 1 0
 28 lbs 5 oz.
  • 1 0
Not bad considering its a 6 lbs frame and has a 4x which isn't the lightest fork.
  • 1 0
.....also considering I made no effort to weight weenie this bike. Mehhhhh, it's fun!!

(It was 6lbs with a BB installed, and the 4X does feel heavier than my Pike but has waaaaaayyyyyy less flex and I love how it rides)
  • 1 0
i really hate to sound stupid, but how are you running a peg on your fork?
  • 1 0
 Custom mount.
  • 1 0
 ahh i see, thanks.
  • 1 0
 what year man
  • 1 0
 I believe it's an 08.
  • 1 0
 Pretty high bars.
  • 1 0
Pretty tall rider to go with them.
  • 1 0
 I see Wink .
  • 1 0
 Dude, Sikk Bike!
  • 1 0
 Thanks dude.
  • 0 1
