Also, did you pedal all of the wooden run in? It looks like a pretty long gap.

Nah, all of the run-in is downhill, and you roll pretty quick on the wooden surface, so you just cruise off the end

Although I did chuck in a pedal on one go as I braked a bit too hard coming onto the ladder.
