Lol, this most certainly wouldn't work... Good try though, a lot of time spent doing these.

Think what you want, but this is just a modification of an already existant design. You might know it. It's called specialized horste link/FSR...? lol The shock is just in a differnet position...

But I'm not argue, you just go on thinking whatever your stupid, arrogant, ignorant brain wants! lol lol lol

No need for the hostility... I was only looking at the pressure that top part of the seatstay-link would be under... Plus the damping on the shock thoughout its whole stroke would be near impossible to control. There's no need to go insulting people because they comment in a fashion you don't like.

Sorry, but I'm tired tired of people telling me my designs won't work, and then most of them be submitting designs w/flaws as bad as a three bar linkage which wouldn't even move. Having my inteligense insulted by those who know far less, has me edgey.

Also, the thing you mention of the damping rate, would easilly be handled by a straight-rate(Linear) damping shock, and it would feel like you were on a progressing-rate shock...

The whole point would be to make it have the actoin of a drasticly rising damping rate, but to put the work on the spring, relieveing the damping unit, for less chance of blown damping.

Also this would result in haveing a very plush beguinning travle, but quickly ramp up for big hits, for less bottoming out. Once again, like a progressive damping shock, but putting the work on the spring...

Please note too, that I submitted this to this site about 2 years ago, and had it drawn on paper about three years before that, before we had all these new super-adjustable shocks available... This would have been a great design for the shocks back then. It would probly feel over-damped with the shocks of today.

No worrys, maybe I was a little harsh. I see it would have been a good concept now that you mention the oldskool application... Wasn't having a dig at you personally...

God this guy is a pure fail, if you think it works go make it and prove it works, stop designing shitty frame in MS paint, 0 faves Ses it all

too bad this looks almost EXACTLY like a transition preston fr...

 Here's a pic of a Preston FR:

http://www.transitionbikes.com/2007/images/Gallery_PrestonSilver06Headtube.jpg

They are nothing alike, du to two huge differences:

1 Mine has the shock conected to the seat-stay, the preston has it conected to the rocker-link... Major differences in ramping spring rates!

2 Mine uses the FSR rear pivot location, as the preston uses the NON-FSR position(like a kona)... Major differences in pedaling efficiency!

Dude you need to chill. Instead of IGNORANTly swearing at more intelligent people than you, go bike. We need people like this. You're probably just another guy that runs around saying you're "pro" at biking and end up quitting in a few months. What type of people do you think makes all these unique frames and suspensions? Ignorant and simple minded net-flamers like you? You making fun of people on the internet is pure fail, my friend.

What pisses me off, if people on this site care more about spelling than they do about bikes! Rolleyes

Atleast I'm not afraid to put my imagination to work, and not afraid of what some immature kids might have to say when I display my work!

buy a decent program then instead of using ms paint.

I knew it was old, doesn't make my joke any less funny. Also in my opinion i find kids in their teens, I being one, think they know everything, actually tbh i think pretty much anyone thinks they know what they talk about or they wouldn't be talking about it. But thats just my 2 cents.
