yes. this is a fsr type pivot location.- the one by the rear axle. while the transition, with all its pivots and links, is still a single pivot frame. as there is only one pivot between the rear wheel axle and the frame, not where the shock ends up.

i thinks this is the product of when a nomad and a covert had kids and this is it

ok, then it doesnt ruins it, just make it look strange, thats totally different

andy9 - alot of bikes are similar, they have two wheels and you can peddle them

JAJAJA, k be a little serious here...

Andy9, there are quite a few differences in how the rear wheel travels between the two bikes, I won't go into major details, but the lower linkages are in different locations, the Nomad is below the BB and the Froggie is above, and if you look closely at the linkage that connects the rear seat stay to the Shock, the Froggie runs a single bolt pivot and the Nomad runs two, The nomad has a fixed connection at the rear dropouts the Froggie has a pivot point there..these details make each bike perform differently, one no better than the other, just different.. I preferred the ride of the Froggie over the Nomad, however it boils down to choice... Hope this motivates you to hit the spec charts to find your fav... Happy Trails...

im with andy9 on this, from a glance they look very similar.. im not getting into the geo, but judging by looks only, they look very similar..

Hey Andy9, never meant to call you incorrect, I agree they are close, I know the specs well of both bikes, so I get a little tech sometimes... my bad, but food for thought, they both ride very different...

the Nomad runs VPP which looks nothing like, or performs nothing like this suspension design. the Nomad also is less "beefier" looking and has more of a formed shape. they look somewhat the same at a first glance, but they definitely aren't copying off of SC with this bike. its like saying that hardtail looks like this one kind of deal.

The build is nice but the Hammershmidt ruins it.
  • 1 1
 why does it?
  • 1 0
Because it looks very very out of place. Regardless of how it performs, it looks very strange.
