I'm not too bothered, got a publication with credit so it's not all about the money. Next time I send pictures to them I'll be expecting money though.

You should be bothered though... Now they'll be expecting free photos from you, as you've already gave free photos to them... If I were you, I'd do something about this... A full page ad, and they did not pay you money? That's pretty wrong...

This is just like the photo contract a lame band is trying to get me to sign to be able to shoot their show. Sign it, and I give away all my rights to the photos I took of them for only photo credit? Um, no thanks!
