lol no T in the supermonsters. Just supermonsters. monster t are a bit small for this bike. lol I would rather go with a bigfoot or avalanche than the 30lb supermonster. I must say though i would rather have a Apocalypse than a Armageddon, but i will stick with my Armageddon.
And no, this wasn't his last bike. He was sponsored by Banshee until he took a custom made Canfield and got kicked off of Banshee due to a photoshoot with his Canfield.
Karpy is early years of Bender. Canfield is new school. Well, not new school in all these 2010 type faggot comments. New school as in mid 2k's.
Yes definately. Not sure why a bike company would go to the trouble to put a blow off nowadays. Suspension companys have ways to tweak the valves in the shocks to fit your preference to avoid the need to have that rp23.

Because Joalst, this wasn't 2010 when the frame was made. It was 2002/2003. The days when Bender was hucking off 60 foot drops on his bikes. The shit that NO ONE to this day has ever compared to.
Stop thinking like a new school pansy, and start thinking about the pioneering point of freeride. Bender was and still is the most extreme freerider to date, bar none.
This frame existed for one thing, and it was to huck off of impossible shit (in which Bender did regularly). If you haven't heard of Bender or seen the vids, quit riding DH and buy a bike with pink pads and steamers...
Corsair as a brand wasn't even in existence when this frame was made... f*ck Corsair. Bunch of copy-cat pansies.
@rffr I said bikes NOWADAYS meaning I was referring to the 2011 corsair frame, not this frame. Stop acting like a big shot on the keyboard when you don't understand what I'm saying.....pansy.
Generally it does... because talk on the internet is cheap. If you get your ass beat on a daily basis, words on the internet kind of mean nothing in the end.
It's a waste of a Fox Float back up shock, why not just get rid, effectavly turning the frame into a 9/10 in travel Armageddon, and put some sensible Fox 40's on it,turning said Armageddon into a more than capable Down-Hill rig,Dirt mag tested it with some Avalanche 8/9in travel fork on it and didn't have anything but praise to say about it. Why add weight by putting an air shock, into the mix just to handle an extra 2in on top of the already ample 9/10in travel,i'm glad it's obselite now but i wouldn't mind knowing what the idea of making a 12incher back and front in the first place was,bb issues would be dangerous,it's just way more than any pedal bike could deal with,so why,i ask you why?Ha-ha. What a beautifully made frame as well, have a look at that attention to detail, sublime.Jan Karpiel certainley knows how to build a thouroughbred, just look at the Disco-Volante and you'll know what i'm saying. Gringo
i dont get why u haten , this bike is indestructible and made to take anything, and made for the marzocchi super monster t 12in travel fork.. the reason to have 12 in of travel? to hit things that a hell of a lot of people would shit there pants just thinking about it..
I love Karpiel frames, the Disco Volante is world class and the workmanship that goes into everything Jan Karpiel does,i adore his frames. And i know this particular frame "The Apocolypse"was made with a Risse Champ, and a Super Monster,in mind, both long discontinued, along with the frame, simply because you can only go so far with travel, and the MTB scene has reached and breached that mark some time ago.10in is now the acceptted max.And as for hitting stuff on this bike mated to a Super Monster,or a Risse Champ goes, what with decent dampers being non existent back then, you'd be shitting your pants a lot more when your catapulted through the air by a big 12in rebound with little to no damper to control it.This frame would look nice on a garage wall or a bedroom wall as a reminder of when Bender and Karpiel found out how far the envolope could be pushed.RESPECT! Gary.
All ya really can do about frames like the Apocolypse is talk, that's all it is now a talking point. This frame along with Bender showed us the limits. And showed us the phenomenen of ragdolling down death defying senders.Or doing a drop and then po-going for ages onto tarmac and knocking yourself clean out,and what did "Bender" say when he was released from Hospital, after actually doing the scenario i've just named, and i quote "Let's put some duck tape on it,and keep going bigger"Ha-ha. Gary.
