Ohhh Aeee, look awesome man, I hadn't heard of the Sixc line until you mentioned it in the dh/4x weight game thread, what else is in the line up?

Pretty sure they've just got a set of carbon cranks and a stem in the line up. Basically a freerider/AM riders version of their NEXT range. Smile Tis all good looking stuff, though. There's another orange decal version of the stuff too.

Oooh sweet, I did some research, looks like there will be cranks too, I am intrested

I'm a moron with pedal placement, so carbon cranks are out of the equation with me. Frown Sucks, though. Carbon cranks look trick! Would love THM'z.

How much monies for these beasts?

 RRP is £119.99 Smile

 Cheap as chips Wink

Just could never bring myself to trusting them, that and the ridiculous price tag.

£119.99 is pretty good for these times! There are alloy & scandium bars that cost more than that.

I trust carbon more than I trust alloy. No fatigue effects!

Heh, cheaper than FSA and Easton!

 Diabolus for me i'm afraid.

Not bought into the wide is fast (but ultimately, just wide) trend? Razz

Seen things come and i have seen things go,i will wait until the fashion band wagon slows and make up my own mind, wider bars also offer more stress,my bars get stressed enough as is with my 17 stone hanging of them.lol

Wide bars make sense to me, how often do you turn sharply enough to need them thin on a DH run?

I know a guy at 16 stone who puts a lot of pain through parts, yet has no trouble with 760mm bars. Smile He likes to drop to flat Wink

I guess I can put myself in the safe zone at 10 stone/140 pounds. It helps that I'm fairly smooth too.

Our spot along with blue bell is littered with tree's,wide bars would just make it more risky.

How are you liking these? Looks like I will be getting the "orange' set for my Nomad.

Not liking, loving! They feel great, need rotating forward more than usual but after that the geo is basically spot on. A noticeable loss of trail buzz compared to alloy. And when you cock up a hit they flex enough to take some sting out of the forks ramp up. But not enough to make the bars feel like they've been flipped upside down.

I've got some alloy bar plugs underneath my ODI's so the bars run out 735mm, but my hands rest on the grip and not often on the locking collar (too many ruined gloves from that!). So they're true at 725mm for me. Could be wider, but otherwise no other cons!

Great to hear that they flex a little but not too much. I would rather not have the bars upside down, lol. I'll be curious to see if the ID will support my bar ends.

I'd measure it for you but my brother crushed my digital vernier by driving over it... :C

Lol, no worries. Pretty sure I have a few rubber pieces of varying ODs that I can try.

Pipes's sex toy supply? Razz LOL!

How strong is that bar though? Ridden it much?
  • 1 0
As strong as any DH bar. 226g is a lot for what you need, a good 20g+ over what's necessary for a bar like this. They can slap a good few extra layers of carbon on these things for overkill strength. And I suspect that's what they've done. Well, either that or they've got some damn heavy decals!

No rode them, not even fitted them yet, will be doing that either tonight or tomorrow. Smile

 Tart!

Bewb! You should've got some carbonio bars instead of your aeroplane bars.
