 Oh really? what happends when you put a fork way taller (like a duel crown) on a bike that is designed to run a 7 inch fork? Well i will tell you, It snaps! it is raked out so much and then the sag rakes it out evan more! andrew maybe you should ask yourself if you are retarded..? Hmm

 i've never heard of that before... But i could see from a physics point of view, that if the geometry, functionality, and durability (mainly the stress of the head tube) of the frame was based around a specific head tube angle, which is dependent on a the height of a 160mm fork (which is a typical SX fork). That by changing the head tube angle, and adding a larger fork (200mm), it would in fact change the stress points on the head tube of the bike.
It makes sense that a downward force with the increased travel, like landing off a drop or jump, would cause the top part if the steer tube of the fork to push back against the frame, and the bottom part of the steer tube to pull away from the frame, due to change in the head tube angle...
sort of like the action of how a pop can opens, with both pushing and pulling forces... not the best comparison though...
so it does make sense, when looking at the actual physics of it, that it would increase the stress on the head tube...
i don't know how much force it would take to snap it, and that likely would depend on the frame manufacturer as well, but i can tell you that mathematically it = more stress on the head tube...

 Yes exacly on a fork thats too tall(200mm) and you do a drop the fork will not evan compress because it will be forcing the stantion into the lower and but a HUGE amount of strees on the headtube, Believe me this is a voice of experience..
