what is going to change after this to drop 2 pounds? it looks pretty legit as it is.

Not sure. I'll probably get a lighter set of wheels after I build up my Nomad C, and I may switch to a chopped Masterpiece as well as some lighter rubber. Might switch to 10-speed X.0/XX when it becomes available, and maybe put some Noir or Fifteen.G cranks on there.

Looks sweet. Get comfy on it as June is too far away, especially when waiting for that sweet NomadC.

Would you say this is good for 4x?
  • 1 0
I wouldn't know, but all the Syndicate guys have Jackals for the smooth 4X and dual slalom tracks.

looks like a dope 4x build though

Yeah, I took cues from a lot of the pro riders' 4X bikes when I built it, but I use it for street.
  • 2 0
kinda hard to imagine riding that street
  • 1 0
 Why?
  • 2 1
just looks more mountain bikey ie. trails and shit , and not like street
  • 1 0
I set up most of my street bikes like this.

juat saying it looks more like a trail/4x riding bike
  • 1 0
Yeah, I like the look of 4X bikes, but I ride street.

street on that bike would be scary. 4x would be awesome
  • 1 0
 Why scary?
  • 1 0
Well I'm sure it would probably hold up but with that fork I don't think I'd trust it - for my style of riding I know it wouldn't hold up. Just when I think of street I think of 180s down stairsets, ledge hops, etc. But I guess if you just did like fufs on banks and stuff like that it'd be fine. Just my opinion. My buddy has those rims on his Jackal and they are always bending when he's not even riding that hard.
So to answer your question: it would be scary riding street because sometime during a summer of street riding I'd be afraid some part on that bike would fail.

also, how do you like those tires? and do you know the weight of them off the top of your head? thanks.

 705grams for the 2.25

Well clearly you and I ride street differently. I've never broken a part while street riding.

The tires are awesome, best street/dirt tire I've ever ridden, if a little on the heavy side.
