it will need new rims, and you might want a longer tt. the cygnus has a fairly small tt coming in at 21". I would look in to something like one of the sunday completes, or maybe the fit cr24. the cygnus is a great bike to customize, but basically ALL the stock parts suck. the rims are singlewall, the hubs are unsealed, it has a freewheel and plate steel sprocket, the grips suck, the stem is a brick, and the cranks are typical lower end complete 8 spline pinchbolt pieces of shit. I mainly got it because I had a hub, sprocket, stem, grips, pedals, and some cranks lying around I could swap out. other than these fairly major shortcomings, the core of the bike is awesome. full 4130 cromo fork and frame, good freestyle geo, sealed mid bb, 14mm dropouts with bmx spacing, the headset is standard but it comes with a sealed headset so its not that bad. if you plan to leave it stock, do not get it. if you want to build it up, then i would say get it.
Hmmm... The Sunday bikes are nice, but man are they expensive. I think my wife would kill me if I told her I wanted to spend $500 on a bike right now. The cr24 is nice also, but I couldn't find anything for under $400. I was looking through the buy/sell section and found a Giant Method 24 for only $250:
thanks! um i bent the back of it and it had like a 40dents, plus i only bourght it because the geo of my colony was rubbish and the s3 had mint geo and was like 100nzd (with bb) so like 65cad. I wasn't planing to keep it, just was a temp till i got my dak. I sold my s3 to my m8 for like 10cad .
