To me, it's simply bulky and ugly!
What's the point with derailleurs ?
I've been riding the same X0 for 3 years and never had any problem...

Probably because most people who race world cups don't keep the same derailler for even a week

Derailleurs and cassettes add unsprung mass wich is bad. If you can move all that weight to the BB area it is a win. If you can do that and improve durabillity. Double win. Only downside is that the current systems are crazy expensive and heavy. LOSS.
